Joseph and I look forward to Mondays in the summer as much as any day of the week. Mondays mean we have our weekly company founders meeting with our coffees, walking along Lake Michigan discussing our students, our business, and life overall. Oh and as huge sports fans, we of course find time for sports.
With football season several months away and basketball almost over, our most recent walk was spent talking about how the sports offseason provides the opportunity for teams and individuals to make incredible transformations! Or stay the same. Or even take a step backwards. We reminded ourselves that champions are built through their hard work and dedication during the offseason.
We then related an athlete's offseason to a student's summer break. While most see summer as a time to kick back, relax, and slow time down, summer break is an unbelievable opportunity for students to improve their academic performance and enhance their leadership and interpersonal skills.
Whether your student had a bad semester last year and needs to improve their confidence, or is leaving some of their amazing potential unfulfilled, summer is the perfect time to make incredible transformations! A formal program (camps, leadership programs, etc.) or informal program (strategy developed at home) over the summer can have a dramatic impact on performance inside and outside the classroom next year.
If you're interested in your student making strides this summer, we have some fantastic resources to help you get started with a plan at home! Or if you are looking for something that can create lasting change, our Leadership Coaching will empower your student to become the Second-to-None (220) version of themselves. Check them both out below!
