Dear motivated student,
Are you worried you might be behind because COVID has forced you to miss critical opportunities for your future?
What if you could make it your most productive semester yet?
What if you could improve your mindset, build critical life skills and unlock new levels of confidence?
What if you could participate in an experience that future employers will love?
We're Matthew & Joseph Moheban, brothers and co-founders of 220.
We work in education. So we saw the disruption this pandemic has caused for motivated students and the opportunities you've worked so hard for.
Some things are getting back to normal. But many aren’t.
Maybe you're worried that you:
- Can’t participate in your extracurriculars and leadership positions in the same way this year
- Had a summer job or internship that was cancelled
- Have a big hole on your resume that you want to fill with a meaningful experience
What you’re really worried about is not being able to impress future schools and employers- even though this pandemic has made these opportunities hard to come by.
When the high school diploma to college degree to job formula gets disrupted, how do you make sure you keep moving forward?
Pandemic or not, this triggers other questions for me like:
Why is the formula so rigid that as soon as one part breaks down, I'm worried my future opportunities are in jeopardy?
Is this the only formula for success?
The formula we're talking about of course, is our education system
And it's not working.
The entire system is one-size-fits all.
Not a good start.
It also assumes that if we just graduate and get a job, everything will be fine.
The numbers tell a different story.
Our advice to motivated students right now: hedge your bet and go outside the system.
We were lucky growing up that our dad did this for us.
He was great about exposing us to learning outside of the classroom.
He had us read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad, introduced us to entrepreneurship and even had us invest our own money in a business he and our mom were invested in.
We decided we wanted to show other students the way- how to avoid our mistakes and create their own path.
So in 2015, we quit our finance and consulting jobs to start 220 and give students the education we wished we had growing up:
- Learning the mindset and skills they actually need to thrive in work and life.
- Understanding how to use principles and frameworks to create any life they want and succeed in the 21st century.
- Not letting self-limiting beliefs or anything else keep them from their 220 (second to none) Life.
But let's be clear: 220 was not an overnight success.
We picked up where we left off in 2009: a leadership camp for middle school students we started as an entrepreneurial summer job in college (right).
We started up again in 2015 by testing this content with individual students in 1-on-1 programs, then expanded to small workshops with schools and afterschool programs.
Most of these had to be free pilots. Some went better than others.
But we continued researching top performers in the world and how they got to where they are.
We kept testing and improving our content with groups, and eventually built some basic online courses.
Eventually, we broke through our ceiling and partnered with some amazing organizations.
We were so excited about the results we were getting and what people were saying.
3,100+ Students and 50+ Organizations
But we have big aspirations for our programs.
We believe this kind of learning should be the required curriculum in schools.
We're not there (yet). But we didn't want to limit our programs to students who happened to be in our partner programs.
We wanted to create something that every school, every family and every student could use.
So we spent the last year turning our content into digestible programs anyone can use, from anywhere.

Here's what people are saying
"Traditional education teaches you what they think you need to know. 220 allows you to discover the possibilities within you."
Dr. Raed Elaydi
Professor of Entrepreneurship, Education Consultant
"You inspired me, motivated me, and guided me in the exact direction I need. The things you taught me are so important in relation to my life. You taught me how to be a good friend, a leader, and how to pursue my dreams. Again, thank you so much."
Aspiring NBA Executive, 220 Student
“This program is excellent, helping kids identify what success means to them, create a vision for themselves, and put a solid plan together to help them achieve their goals. Our son has learned a great deal and is equipped with a personalized plan going forward. Working with 220 has been a wonderful experience for us all and we would highly recommend this program!”
Parent of 220 Student
“Not only did you inspire our students, but because of you both, my vision is growing beyond what I had thought it could in a week.”
Program Manager, The First Tee Virginia Blue Ridge
"220 has been a game changer for our organization. They've provided us with incredible tools to equip, empower, and encourage young people."
CEO & Founder, Directed Initiatives for Youth
“I have been able to use their extensive, well designed workbooks to enhance the education I provide for our First Tee of Phoenix Ace members. These kids are 14 to 18 and are approaching a time where they will be venturing out into the "real" world and with the help of 220 materials, I feel I am helping to prepare them to be our next leaders. The sequential workbooks provide me with a step to step format that continues to motivate these kids to define and follow their dreams in a logical and easy to understand manner. I would highly recommend 220 for any organization looking to develop strong and motivated youth.”
The First Tee, Phoenix
“The brothers deliver resources and support with conviction, confidence, and pure genuine passion!”
Senior Teens Program Manager in Chicago
“I feel a lot better now than I did before. Before, I saw myself as really unmotivated, not excited to do anything, didn’t really care about anything. I actually see a purpose in life now. I feel more motivated to get my things done and things matter to me a lot more now and I want to work hard. It’s helped me with my parents the most. In situations with my parents, it helps me not to get mad at them, and understanding more what they’re going through. I take a lot more into consideration...I’ve found myself not hanging out with the same (negative) friend groups anymore too. It’s not that I can’t, it’s just that I don’t really want to after what we’ve talked about and worked on.”
